The Intensive Care Unit at Maya Nursing Home in Chennai is a multidisciplinary unit that treats critically ill patients with a wide range of conditions, including acute medical and surgical illnesses of various specialties, immediate post-operative care, cardiac toxicology, and critical trauma cases. Our ICU is equipped with a variety of dialysis units and ventilators, as well as isolation chambers for infectious/communicable illness care. Its mission is to provide comprehensive care to all patients at an affordable cost while maintaining its ambition of being a Center of Excellence in Intensive Care.
This is ensured by a staff of full-time Intensivists that operate around the clock and with utmost dedication. They are highly skilled and collaborate closely with Consultants from several super specialities in the domains of medicine and surgery. A dedicated staff of nurses, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1, is dedicated to providing not just acute treatment but also psychosocial support to the severely ill.
