Arthroscopy (ahr-THROS-kuh-pee) is a procedure for diagnosing and treating joint problems. A surgeon inserts a narrow tube attached to a fiber-optic video camera through a small incision — about the size of a buttonhole. The view inside your joint is transmitted to a high-definition video monitor.

Treatment often involves resetting the bone in place and immobilising it in a cast or splint to give it time to heal. Sometimes, surgery with rods, plates and screws may be required.

There can be many causes of back pain including accidents, strains, and injuries. Two types of back injury are spondylolisthesis and cervical radiculopathy. Both have their own set of symptoms, causes, and treatments.

Ankle injuries are often thought of as sports injuries. But you don’t have to be an athlete  to turn your ankle and hurt it. Something as simple as walking on an uneven surface can cause a painful, debilitating sprain.

Hand and upper extremity care is a subspecialty of orthopaedics that covers conditions in areas of the body including the hands, wrists, elbows, fingers and arms. Pain and injury can result from trauma in the workplace or during recreational activities. Pain can also be the result of overuse, degenerative or acquired conditions.
